Hello, I’m Kathy, and I’d like to share a bit about myself and my journey into becoming a grief coach, a role profoundly shaped by personal loss and a deep commitment to supporting others. In 2014, my world was irrevocably altered when I lost my beloved six-year-old son, Trevor. This life-changing event plunged me and my family into profound grief, revealing the stark lack of resources and understanding available for navigating the unique pain of child loss. These experiences drove me to promise myself that I would seek to understand mental health, trauma, and loss more deeply, to offer the support and understanding that were so absent in our own time of need.

Embarking on this path required confronting my unresolved grief and trauma, leading me to explore various healing modalities, including energy medicine, journaling, grief counseling, and mindfulness. My commitment to healing took on new urgency after a subsequent battle with breast cancer, a challenge I suspect was exacerbated by the unprocessed grief and stress following Trevor's death. This stark realization underscored the profound interconnectedness of physical health and unresolved emotional trauma.

My academic journey in mental health, grief, and trauma was further catalyzed by a corporate layoff, which I chose to transform from a potential setback into an opportunity to pursue my true passion and purpose. During this time, I earned my Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling while actively engaging in my own healing journey. I immersed myself in numerous trauma-informed modalities—including EMDR, anxiety management, the FLASH technique, the 4 Blinks method, and hypnosis—gaining both personal insight and a comprehensive understanding of how to facilitate healing and growth for others.

My professional training in grief, trauma, magnetic mind coaching, and hypnosis, along with a Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, showcases a wide-ranging and profound dedication to assisting individuals through their grief with empathy, expertise, and innovation. The methodologies and insights I incorporate into my coaching are inspired by the teachings of world-renowned experts in grief movement and education, whose pioneering work has significantly influenced the development of effective support strategies.

Trevor’s impact on my life goes beyond inspiring my coaching work. In his memory, I founded Trevor’s Toes and Tushies, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to providing essential items like socks and underwear to children in need. This initiative transforms my grief into action, honoring Trevor’s compassionate spirit while helping vulnerable children. By collaborating with social workers and educators, Trevor’s Toes and Tushies ensures dignity and comfort for children who need it most. To learn more, visit
